The Team Activities course is designed to provide cardio-vascular exercise through a focus on team sports. Students will learn the fitness concepts through competition of team exercise, weight-room, and cardio rooms. Basic skills and fundamentals will be addressed. The focus will be on rules, strategies, and teamwork. This course will be a competitive class. Activities that are included in the course are floor hockey, speedball, flag football, basketball, volleyball, battle ball, mat kickball, water games and soccer.


  • Express knowledge of the 5 fitness components (flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance.)
  • Know how to cooperate and work as a team and as individuals
  • Analyze how to find your target heart rate in the cardio room
  • Understand the basic concepts of weight lifting and how to create a weight lifting plan
  • Awareness of personal safety within the activities that we play in class
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote good sportsmanship
  • Understand and identify the rules of team activities (Floor hockey, basketball, battleball, speedball, cometball, kickball, wiffleball, etc.)
  • Know how to warm up properly and can be able to put together a stretching routine before activities
  • Demonstrates participation in all of our team activities
